General Body Vanitha Meeting – NSS Hyderabad
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the NSS Hyderabad Vanitha Meeting was held successfully on Sunday, 8th March 2026 at 4:00 PM. A total of 51 women participated in the meeting. The wholehearted participation and collective effort of all the women members made the gathering truly special. The interactions, introductions, and sharing of experiences were very inspiring.
The meeting began with the lighting of the traditional lamp, followed by floral tributes offered in front of the portrait of the late Acharyan Bharathakesari Mannath Padmanabhan, and the recitation of Acharya Vandanam. The proceedings commenced under the chairmanship of Smt. Jyothi Nair. Smt. Geetha Ottur delivered the welcome speech. This was followed by speeches from Smt. Jyothi Nair and Smt. Sathi Nair.
Later, as part of the Women’s Day celebration, the women members gathered together to cut a cake and share the joy of the occasion. Subsequently, the Executive Committee of the NSS Hyderabad Vanitha Wing was elected.
Such gatherings help to strengthen women’s empowerment and promote friendship and unity.
NSS Hyderabad continues to stand at the forefront of social, cultural, and charitable activities without any discrimination. During the meeting, it was also discussed that the Nair community should continue to work together to uphold the dignity and reputation of the community and move forward by undertaking meaningful activities that benefit both society and the community.
Finally, President Smt. Dhanya Manikandan expressed her vote of thanks to everyone. The meeting concluded at around 6:00 PM with refreshments.
